1) PACT is copyrighted by The University of California (UNIVERSITY).

2) Title to copyright to PACT and to any material associated therewith shall at all times remain with UNIVERSITY. PACT was developed under Contract W-7405-ENG-48 between the University of California and the U.S. Department of Energy.

3) UNIVERSITY MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. By way of example, but not limitation, UNIVERSITY makes no representations or warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose or that the use of software components or documentation will not infringe any patents, copyrights, trademarks or other rights. UNIVERSITY shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages with respect to any claim by COLLABORATOR or any third party on account of or arising from this Agreement or use of PACT.

4) User shall observe all applicable United States and foreign laws, regulations, rules and decrees with respect to the transfer of Program and related technical data to foreign countries, including, without limitation, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Export Administration Act, the US Anti-Boycott Laws and any regulations promulgated thereunder, including, but not limited to, the International Traffic in Arms regulations.

5) Permission to use, copy, modify, and distribute this software for any purpose without fee is hereby granted, provided that this entire notice is included in all copies of any software which is or includes a copy or modification of this software and in all copies of the supporting documentation for such software.
