On March 17, 2015, a multi-lateral conference was held
on Guam regarding increasing Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported (IUU) fishing in the Micronesian States of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and the Republic of Palau (ROP). Participants included the U.S. Department of State, American Embassy Kolonia, American Embassy Koror, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. military, Australian Embassy for Micronesian Region and delegations of FSM and ROP.

Climate Resilience Grants Awarded to 2 Palau NGOs
The U.S. Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), launched two new projects that will help make communities in Micronesia and Palau more prepared to address the impacts of climate change. Through its Pacific-American Climate Fund (PACAM), USAID awarded a total of US $492,810 in grants to the Palau Conservation Society (PCS) and Hatohobei Organization for People and Environment (HOPE).
