Our Mission

The ATC Surveillance Branch's mission is to provide best-in-class test and evaluation (T&E;) services for ATC surveillance projects throughout their lifecycle and to ensure that these services are performed efficiently using best practices and in accordance with quality standards.

Description of Work

The Air Traffic Control Surveillance Branch tests and evaluates ground-based and satellite-based Air Traffic Control (ATC) surveillance systems. These systems are integral components of the National Airspace System (NAS), which was created to ensure air transportation safety for the flying public.

The Team also conducts research, development, and integration of ATC surveillance systems. Additionally, the Team develops radar analysis hardware and software test tools in support of its mission.
