The Section on Biomedical Stochastic Physics has an NICHD Satellite Mouse Imaging Area in Building 9. We welcome any new project ideas to be conducted in our Mouse Imaging Area.

 

The main focus of the research conducted in this mouse imaging area is to identify different types of cancers and study small animal cancer models for probe localization, fluorescence lifetime and kinetics using optical imaging techniques.

 

Facility resources include an in vivo optical imaging system for small animals that can measure the intensity and fluorescence lifetime simultaneously. Facility personnel are available for consultation about the design of imaging experiments and/or the analysis of image data.
