Welcome to the 155th Air Refueling Wing. We are based at the Lincoln Municipal Airport in Lincoln, Nebraska. As the second oldest Air National
Guard unit in the nation, the 155th ARW began as the 173rd Fighter Squadron in 1946 and has evolved in size and mission. Since 1992, the Wing has operated the KC-135 Stratotanker for Air Mobility Command and USSTRATCOM, providing logistical and mission support to Nuclear Deterrence, Global Reach mobility
and Global Power missions across the globe.
The professionalism and dedication of the Wing's militia airmen provide the state of Nebraska and our nation with unmatched capability and value in a community based force. The National Guard militia force's ability to answer the call in times of local or state emergency and when needed for global national response offers and delivers a unique combination of value to the taxpayer and U.S. policy execution options to our national command authorities.
The communities throughout the state have supported our organization for many
years. That support and patriotism has enabled our members to be incredibly effective in performance of their duties for the State and Nation. We thank our communities, towns and cities for that support and invite you to explore this website to learn more about the 155th ARW and the NE ANG.
