The United States Air Force Band of Flight provides quality music and entertainment for a wide variety of official military, recruiting and community relations events. The band is stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH which is operated by the 88th Air Base Wing under the command of Col Bradley W. McDonald. The 15-member organization serves the state of Ohio exclusively and is managed by CMSgt Michael Marshall.

tabBand of Flight @ the Fraze 


On July 6th, the Band of Flight held its summer concert at the Fraze Pavilion in Kettering, Ohio. Both component groups, Wright Brass and Systems Go, performed individually and then combined their talents, forming the larger Band of Flight. The concert featured many popular and patriotic favorites, as well as showcased the winning song of the Wright-Patterson AFB "Song Wrighting" competition. "Back Where I Belong" was composed by Dr. Schneata Shyne-Turner, an AFLCMC manager and program analyst. She is a songwriter, director and singer when she's not working at the AF Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate on base. She and her husband have collaborated on several songs and are active in the Music Ministry at New Season Ministry in Huber Heights.
