College and university students studying in the STEM fields have various opportunities available to them through the U.S. Army:

SMART Program

The Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation, SMART, Scholarship for Service Program has been established by the Department of Defense to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math disciplines. The program aims to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DOD laboratories.

The Pathways Programs offer clear paths to Federal internships for students from high school through post-graduate school and to careers for recent graduates.
