Message from the Co-Chairs

Thank you for your interest in the Task Force to Examine Opportunities for Continued Improvements at the Delaware Psychiatric Center (DPC).

Over the next three months, this nine member task force will review key areas of the DPC and its operations. Members will work to understand best medical practices for patient care, program improvement, community placement practices and options, and provide recommendations on issues, such as hiring procedures and professional development opportunities for staff unit functions and physical plant issues.

A link to the Executive Order creating this Task Force, as well as a list of Task Force members, is provided on this site for your reference. As co-chairs, we intend to provide unprecedented public access to our proceedings and work product through utilizing technology and posting all information generated by our work on this website. We want Delawareans to access this website during the course of these next couple of months to learn about this facility, the operations, and some of the challenges that we will be addressing. We look forward to working with this team of professionals to conduct a thorough review of the DPC in order to ensure that, as a state, we continue to improve the quality of care for some of Delaware's most vulnerable residents.

We invite you to attend our meetings, which are open to the public and the media, either in person or via live streaming webcast. Furthermore, we hope you will visit this site often for updates on the work of the Task Force.
