Recounts are conducted by the Board of Elections under Rhode Island General Laws 17-19-37.1, 17-19-37.2, and 17-19-37.3.

All recounts are held at the Board of Elections offices at 50 Branch Avenue in Providence. All recount requests must be original and signed by the candidate and notarized. Please include the full name, address, contact information, and related office being sought in the request. Requests will not be accepted if faxed or e-mailed.
