Inclement Weather

  • With the safety of Joint Munitions Command employees our greatest concern, we want to remind you of how to stay updated when weather conditions are severe and driving to work may be unsafe. While we have rarely found it necessary to close JMC completely, we have done so when road conditions are too hazardous for travel. If you are unsure about whether to report to work, we will post the command weather decision in two places:

    (1) The Rock Island Arsenal Inclement Weather Page:
    http://www.usagria.army.mil/sites/inclement_weather/
    dsp_main.cfm
Or, click the RIA Weather Info link above.

    (2) Our JMC Facebook page:
    https://www.facebook.com/JointMunitionsCommand

In the event of weather impacts, but no change to JMC operational status, employees are expected to report to work unless Liberal Leave has been activated or you are authorized to telework. If you are unable to report to work at your normally scheduled start time, you must notify your supervisor to take appropriate leave.
