Install, engineer, operate and defend our Army's Network and Mission Command capabilities daily and through all phases of Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) operations. As directed, supports other national missions or contingency operations.

Commanding General, NETCOM

Major General John W. Baker

Major General Baker is a 1985 graduate of Norwich University where he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in Armor. He served his initial assignment with the 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment from 1985 to 1989. In 1990, Major General Baker was the S-6 for 4-77 Field Artillery Battalion in Babenhausen, Germany.

From 1991-1994 he served with the 22d Signal Brigade in Darmstadt, Germany, as the 440th Signal Battalion S-4, the Commander of A Company, 32d Signal Battalion, and in the Brigade Plans section. In 1994, he served as a Joint Staff Intern in the Strategy Division, J-5. Major General Baker was then assigned to the Program, Analysis and Evaluation Directorate, Office of the Chief of Staff, Army, as a program analyst.

Command Sergeant Major, NETCOM

Command Sergeant Major Darris Curry

Command Sergeant Major Darris Curry hails from Columbia, South Carolina, where he graduated from Eau Claire High School in May 1984. He joined the Army in June 1984, and completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he was trained as an Automatic Data Telecommunications Center Operator (Military Occupational Specialty 72G).

Colonel Marcus A. Reese

Colonel Marcus A. Reese assumed his current position as the Deputy Commander in August 2016.

Colonel Marcus A. Reese is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He was commissioned as a Signal Officer in 1990 at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chief of Staff, NETCOM

Colonel Mark D. Baxter

Colonel Mark Baxter assumed his current position as the chief of Staff on July 22, 2015. He was born and raised in Upstate New York.

He was commissioned in the United States Army after graduating from Clarkson College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
