More than 1,100 turkeys were distributed to families across the installation Nov. 18 as part of Operation Turkey Drop — a program coordinated by the Association of the United States Army, the Air Force Association and Pierce Military and Business Alliance, as well as dozens of local businesses and organizations.
A record 777 participants ran during the annual Joint Base Lewis-McChord Turkey Trot Saturday at Family and MWR’s Festival Tent on Lewis Main. A total of 10 turkeys were awarded to random runners, along with a drawing for two round-trip airline tickets to anywhere in the United States.

The 47th CSH finished with 106 team points, followed by the 255th Medical Detachment with 85.
