OKLAHOMA CITY – Melinda Fruendt, from Guthrie, was honored Thursday with the 2016 Workforce Champion award from the Oklahoma Association of Workforce Development Boards and the Oklahoma Workforce Association.
Donnalla Miller, OAWDB chair, presented the award to Fruendt on the floor of the House of Representatives at the state Capitol during the 2016 Oklahoma Works Alumni and Business Leaders Celebration.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Sheila Everett, Dallas Regional Commissioner for the Social Security Administration, arrived in Oklahoma City recently to honor long-time colleague Noel Tyler.
Tyler served 15 years as Disability Determination Services administrator and was recognized Thursday with a celebration by her former employees and regional SSA leaders.
The federally funded Disability Determination program determines medical eligibility for social security disability benefits for Oklahomans and assists with determinations in 20 other states.
MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- The Oklahoma School for the Blind and their Parent Teacher Organization will host the annual “Future Shock” Career Day on Thursday, Nov. 3.
Future Shock is a unique educational experience designed for blind and visually impaired students from across the state of Oklahoma, their families, teachers of students with visually impairment and other interested individuals.
The event is scheduled from 12:30 until 3:10 p.m. on the OSB campus, 3300 Gibson Street in Muskogee.
