In this
season of getting ready to vote for our 45th President, the
State Library is displaying books and posters about the women's
suffrage movement. Magazines, postcards and newspapers from the Rare
Collections Library and closed stacks such as "Collier's" and
"Harper's Bazaar" illustrate the suffrage movement parades and
demonstrations that took place all over the country. Political cartoons are
also displayed along with information about African American voting rights
of the 1860's.
