The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission’s new smartphone app, TABC:Mobile is now available for Apple and Android devices. The app allows users to locate TABC-licensed businesses in their area, inspect pending TABC licenses and permits, and report incidents which take place in a licensed establishment. The latest version of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission's Strategic Plan is now available. The plan, which covers fiscal years 2017-2021, outlines the agency's six goals which support the statewide objectives set by state leaders. Individual action items and completion dates associated with those goals offer a glimpse into the concentrated efforts of TABC to target at-risk businesses, integrate new technologies, increase efficiencies in the licensing process and meet the growing demands of the alcoholic beverage industry. Regarding the obligation of a TABC license or permit holder to verify the License to Carry a handgun (LTC) of a person in possession of a handgun on a TABC-licensed premise:
All in-state manufacturing tier excise tax forms have been updated to collect compliance sales totals set forth in statute by the Texas Legislature. All in-state manufacturing tier members must utilize these new forms beginning calendar year 2016 for the monthly tax reports submitted to TABC. The new forms along with a letter explaining the changes can be found on the Excise Tax Forms page. TABC is now offering online label approvals for Texas and out-of state brewers, brewpubs, non-resident sellers, wineries and distillers. Read the press release about the new online label approval system.
