What do you call a person with a disability? A person. People First Language is an objective and respectful way to speak about people with disabilities by emphasizing the person first, rather than the disability.

Guardianship Alternatives

The 84th Texas Legislature passed significant legislation to advance alternatives to guardianship for people with disabilities, including supported decision-making. The Supported Decision-Making Agreement form is available.
