Commerce IT Review Board

The CITRB acts as a board of directors that advises the Secretary and Deputy Secretary on critical IT matters. The CITRB ensures that proposed investments contribute to the Secretary's strategic vision and mission requirements, employ sound IT investment methodologies, comply with Departmental systems architectures, employ sound security measures, and provide the highest return on the investment or acceptable project risk. Establishment of the CITRB supports IT management improvement goals of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 (CCA) and the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA) as well as related implementing regulations and guidance, including the President's Management Agenda.

Bureau/OU Preparation:
Operating Unit (OU) point of contact uploads documents and transitions workflow back to the Department.

Departmental Preparation:
DOC OCIO reviews and uploads documents and transitions workflow to "IPT Review" or "Confirmed" (or back to "OU Prep" if required).

Integrated Project Team Technical Review:
DOC subject matter experts and OU PMs/Presenters jointly review presentation for completeness. OU point of contact uploads final documents and transitions workflow to "Confirmed".

Confirmed:
All documents are considered final. Meeting logistics (date, place, time, attendees) are finalized and confirmed.

Post Review:
DOC OCIO prepares meeting documentation.

Closed:
The Review meeting has been held and approved meeting documentation is posted.
