We are the Air Force Medical Service’s (AFMS) arm of Agile Combat Support for all Information Management and Information Technology solutions. Known as the Theater Medical Information Program Air Force (TMIP AF) we support a wide range of software, hardware and communications capabilities that are deployed at locations throughout the world. For example, we support the lifelong electronic health record, software that supports all ancillary service areas of healthcare delivery and the logistics and communications necessary to operate AFMS Information Systems both on the ground and in the air. In addition, the program is hard at work developing new secure means to consolidate data for decision support, and closing gaps in the continuum of services that integrate both ground and air continuity of care.

There are several areas of our capabilities that demand we support a unique Air Force mission. The first is that our forward presence is limited therefore we must integrate with our supporting communications groups. Unlike other Services we do not create isolated infrastructures in austere deployed environments. We also rely upon our active duty deployed members to provide the first line of support for our systems in both ground and air based environments. We also bring hardware and software to the complex Enroute Care system as patients are moved throughout tactical and strategic air locations around the globe, providing critical point of service information and then moving that information throughout the DoD care systems.

Our primary mission is to first to support the clinician and their teams and then we deliver capabilities to decision makers. Most importantly however, we deliver critical systems that support the DoD war-fighter with complete and accurate information data sets concerning all of their health related events while in deployed conditions.
