Our Mission

The mission of the Congressional Work for Warriors Caucus is to promote and increase awareness of California’s extremely successful Work for Warriors program, with the eventual goal of expanding the program in California and replicating it in other states.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Getting you a job is what the California National Guard’s Work for Warriors program is all about.

The program has been getting jobs for California National Guardsmen for more than a year and a half now. Due to its success and some new hires, the program is expanding its reach to the state’s Reserve forces.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Paul Cook (R-Yucca Valley) and Representative Mark Takano (D-Riverside) have formed the Work for Warriors Caucus, according to a media release issued out of Washington, D.C.

Reps. Mark Takano and Paul Cook have founded a House caucus to boost a California program that helps veterans find jobs.

Takano, D-Riverside, and Cook, R-Yucca Valley, formed the Work for Warriors Caucus, a bipartisan group to promote the state Work for Warriors program, read a press release from Takano’s office issued Friday, Nov. 8.

Washington DC – The United States Air Force and the National Guard Bureau have chosen the California National Guard’s 163rd Reconnaissance Wing, located at March Air Reserve Base, to receive the next tranche of MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft (RPA). This is especially important as they replace the current aging MQ-1 Predator assets at March.
