LOGON/PERSONAL ID AND PASSWORD HELP
The Logon/Home page prompts the user to enter their Logon or Personal ID and password to access REDI Virginia.
To be eligible to use REDI Virginia, you must be a Commonwealth of
Virginia EDI trading partner. You must have had an EDI account
established by the Department of Accounts after having submitted
an EDI Enrollment Form and having received a one cent test deposit.
If you are not currently eligible to participate in the EDI program
but would like to, you can go to www.doa.virginia.gov,
choose the EDI button on the right side of the screen and complete
the appropriate Trading Partner Agreement and Enrollment form,
using the EDI Guide for Vendors, Localities, Grantees, State Agencies
and Non-state Agencies for information on the Commonwealth of Virginia's
EDI payment program.
- For New Users – First time REDI Virginia users must enter their 11-digit Logon ID
and click on the Forgot Password/New Account button. You will also need to know
the last eight digits of the bank account number that was submitted on the EDI
Enrollment Form.

Follow the instructions on the EDI Remittances – Bank Account Number page to setup your logon information.
Once you have entered the last 8 digits of your bank account number, you will be
linked to the EDI Remittances – New Security Record page where you will have
to enter a password and can enter an optional Personal ID
to logon to REDI Virginia.
- Personal ID - Users who have successfully set up their account
and have chosen a Personal ID can logon to REDI Virginia using their Personal ID.
You can create a Personal ID during the initial logon process or by updating your
security record by clicking on Personal Options from the Main Menu.
- Forgot Password – Users who have forgotten their password must enter their Logon or Personal ID and then click on the Forgot Password/New Account button located on the left-menu. From this link, users will have to answer three previously stored security questions before they can reset their passwords.
- Logon Attempts Exceeded – After 5 (five) failed logon attempts the following message is displayed: 'ACCOUNT SUSPENDED DUE TO SECURITY VIOLATIONS'. At this time you will not be able to use the application until the violations have been cleared. Security violations are cleared each work day night.
