Talofa and Welcome to the American Samoa Government’s Department of Commerce (DOC) Website!

The Department of Commerce is comprised of six divisions, each with specific missions and goals that contribute to the overall mandate of the Department. As you browse through the division pages you will become familiar with the various functions and operations within the DOC. Each of the divisions within DOC offers a detailed description of its scope and purpose.

The Department of Commerce is continually working on ways to improve our service not only for our local people on island but also to national and international communities abroad. Our website is informative in nature as well as a “coming of age” in the latest technology by providing information on the Internet. This website tells you who, and what we are, and how we can serve various communities.

Our website also offers an opportunity to log onto tourist information, access local permitting or business requirements, obtain statistical data and the whole gamut of projects DOC operates. You can now access information and download at leisure. Downloadable reports and forms (i.e. land use permit and business forms) are offered as a matter of convenience in Adobe PDF. Statistical information ranging from the latest Agricultural Census to the Statistical Yearbook is available at a touch of a button.

I am pleased with this latest development as it expands our audience and markets the department locally as well as to our overseas partners. As we continue to maintain this new venture for the department, I ask you to please bear with us as some information is still being updated and posted to the website.
