Services

We manage all aspects of contracting with vendors to provide products and services to state agencies. We also provide purchasing training for state purchasing personnel. Most large purchases, formal, sealed bids, and proposals over $100,000, are processed by our office. Some agencies may have authority to handle procurements up to varying amounts as delegated by the Adminstrator.

***STATE PROCUREMENT ACT EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2016***

The Idaho State Purchasing Laws are now codified in their own chapter within Idaho Code, Chapter 92: State Procurement Act, with an effective date of July 1, 2016.  The Legislative Services Office (LSO) created a “crosswalk” between the old Chapter 57 and new Chapter 92, along with highlights of the changes, available here: Notes on the State Procurement Act.  Additional information highlighting the statutory changes will be posted within the next few weeks.  Please be advised that the templates, forms and manuals (as well as the Solicitation Instructions and Standard Terms and Conditions) hyperlinked on the Division of Purchasing’s website, have been updated to reflect the new statutory references.  Contact purchasing@adm.idaho.gov with any questions.

Rule Changes

Thank you to all of the agency representatives who participated in DOP’s negotiated rulemaking meetings.  Your input has been very helpful.  At the last meeting, on August 2, DOP presented the first draft of the proposed rules.  We are currently working on finalizing the proposed rules, based on initial feedback.
