Mississippi State Board of Architecture

Mission, Goals and Services

The mission of the Mississippi State Board of Architecture is to protect the public’s life, health and property through the regulation of the professions of architecture, landscape architecture and certified interior design.

The Board's core values are to be service oriented, principled, professional, progressive, and collaborative, and to be good stewards.

The Board accomplishes its goals and legislative mandates through the licensure and certification of architects, landscape architects and certified interior designers.  Each profession has established minimum education, experience and examination requirements for registration, which the Board verifies during the application process. Consumers are encouraged to verify registration prior to engaging a design profession.

Additionally, the Board regulates these professions by receiving and adjudicating complaints
