NOTICE OF DOWNTIME, FRIDAY, DEC. 16, 8:00 PM

CM/ECF for the Western District of Tennessee will be offline for maintenance on Friday evening, Dec. 16, starting at 8:00 pm Central. The maintenance is expected to last approximately one hour.

FILING THE STATE COURT RECORD IN HABEAS PETITIONS

If you are filing a habeas corpus petition pursuant to 28 USC 2254 or 2241, please see Administrative Order 2016-31 for instructions on filing the state court record.

ATTORNEY ADMISSIONS IN 2016

Starting on January 1, 2016, applications for general (not pro hac) admission should be filed in case 16-zz-9999, in accordance with our ECF Policies and Procedures, pages 9-10.

ATTENTION WINDOWS 10 USERS

Microsoft Edge, the default browser in Windows 10, is not fully compatible with CM/ECF. In particular, Microsoft Edge is unable to display most PDFs from CM/ECF, and instead displays the error message Couldn't open PDF.

NEW ATTORNEY ADMISSION PROCEDURES - MAY 1, 2012

Effective May 1, 2012, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee will be implementing new admisssion procedures for both regular and pro hac vice admission. Attorneys will register for a CM/ECF login prior to admission, and will pay admission fees via pay.gov in CM/ECF. See pages 9-10 of our ECF Policies and Procedures for new admission procedures.

DISCONTINUATION OF CM/ECF HELPDESK PHONELINE

Please be advised that effective October 1, 2011, the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee will be discontinuing its CM/ECF helpdesk telephone service. Kindly direct all helpdesk requests after October 1, 2011, via email to cmecfhelpdesk@tnwd.uscourts.gov. Thank you.

NOTICE OF NEW SCANNING GUIDELINES

The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts and the National Archives have issued new guidelines regarding scanned documents filed via CM/ECF.

The new guidelines recommend that documents be scanned at 300x300 dpi (dots per inch), in black and white. The old guidelines recommended that documents be scanned at 200x200 dpi.
