The EGSC HPCC was fully returned to service on Monday morning, January 12, 2014, following interruptions to electrical power service that began on Friday, January 9. Please report any problems through this site's contact form. This is the operational Web Site for the Eastern Geographic Science Center (EGSC) High-Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC). The EGSC HPCC is a Beowulf, a cluster of eighteen computers interconnected by a private, high-speed network. This facility is operated by the Eastern Geographic Science Center primarily to support the development and operation of computationally-intensive models and applications in land-change science and quantitative geography.
