Open Government Program

The responsibility for the development and maintenance of Open Government policies, procedures, and guidance is handled through the Office of Privacy and Open Government, Open Government Program. The Open Government Program Office is also reponsible for oversight of the Department of Commerce's Open Government program.

      • The Open Government Program Office is responsible for oversight of the Department's Open Government program.
      • The Department's Open Government operations are carried out across 14 bureaus and operating units (BOUs) or components.

OPEN GOVERNMENT PLAN

OMB requires each Department/Agency to publish an Open Government plan every two (2) years as well as publishing annual updates on the Department/Agency ongoing Open Government initiatives.
