Step3
Browse the website
One of the best ways to become familiar with the technical assistance resources provided by FTA and its partners is to simply browse the site and get an overview of the website structure and content. The best place to start is the resource library. From there you can browse and bookmark resources as well as share with co-workers.

Step4
Implement your strategy for moving forward
As you build your plan to move forward with safety, be sure to check back often. We will also email you from time to time as new resources or courses that you may be interested in are available. To help you track your actions, please feel free to use the milestone tracking tool right from your dashboard!

Step5
Congratulations!
You are moving your program forward and making positive change for your passengers and employees. Please continue your commitment and let FTA know how we can help you help your riding public. Thank you for all of your hard work!
MAP-21 Legislation
Moving ahead...
Congress established the legal authority to commence and continue FTA programs through authorizing legislation covering several years. On July 6, 2012, President Obama signed Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21), reauthorizing surface transportation programs through fiscal year 2014. Each reauthorization amends the Federal Transit Laws codified in 49 USC Chapter 53. MAP-21 took effect on October 1, 2012.
FTA provides current information on MAP-21, including FAQs, webinars and webcasts, program fact sheets and much, much more here:
