Mission Support Alliance - Infrastructure

At Hanford, MSA is the contractor that “keeps the site running,” thereby allowing the Hanford cleanup contractors to focus on their environmental remediation missions.  In providing critical services such as utilities, safety and security, emergency response, and information technology, we’ve adopted a strategy that equates our work at Hanford to running a large municipality. And at a site that is geographically larger than Los Angeles, with a population of approximately 10,000 “residents”, we are never without challenges. Our proven business model, which is based on economies of scale, cost-savings, service on demand and technology deployment, has shown tangible results and promises to keep delivering positive returns to both the government and the taxpayer.

We are also entrusted with providing strategic support to our Department of Energy (DOE) customer through coordinating the multiple disparate and diverse projects at Hanford. To meet this challenge, we use industry experts and state-of-the-art forecasting tools to develop long-term plans and scenarios for DOE. A large part of this function is helping DOE with the process of freeing up land for future use and the stewardship of that land once it is legally deemed ready for release from the cleanup program.
