Minerals Information Data System
The US Geological Survey, National Minerals Information Center, is in the process
of developing a new and improved electronic reporting system called Minerals Information
Data System (MIDS). During the transition you may see 2 different URLs showing either
https://mids.er.usgs.gov or https://miforms.er.usgs.gov on various pages.
Any user IDs previously registered on the MIForms system have been transitioned to the new MIDS platform. Due to new password security requirements some users may be required to change their password. USGS is committed to keeping the integrity of your data safe and secure and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. As a canvass is transitioned to the new site, an email will be sent to registered users for that canvass to let them know the transition for that specific canvass has been completed.
