The National Visa Center (NVC) is not able to make changes to this immigrant visa petition without the proper documentation.
Only documents in support of a change in status should be attached to this form. Any other documents submitted through this inquiry form, such as financial evidence for an Affidavit of Support, will not be reviewed. Please see Submit Documents to the NVC for further information.
Naturalization:
If the petitioner has become a naturalized citizen, please send a copy of the petitioner's Naturalization Certificate or U.S. Passport to the NVC. It is permitted by law to make copies of the Naturalization Certificate for official purposes. A letter from the Department of Homeland Security's Office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) indicating that the petitioner of this case has become a naturalized U.S. citizen is also acceptable.
If the petitioner has recently had a legal name change, please include a copy of the Certificate of Name Change, as well.
Marriage:
If the principal applicant is recently married, please send a copy of the principal applicant's marriage certificate, a copy of the derivative applicant spouse's birth certificate and a copy of the derivative applicant spouse's passport.
Divorce:
If the principal applicant is recently divorced, please send a copy of the principal applicant's divorce certificate.
Death:
If a death has occurred, please send a copy of the appropriate death certificate.
Birth:
If a birth has occurred, please send a copy of the derivative applicant's birth certificate and a copy of the derivative applicant’s passport.
