Mission
To successfully conduct full spectrum operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, MEUs, and other operations in support of combatant commanders as directed.

Our primary task is to prepare infantry battalions for deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, the MEUs, or other contingencies as directed - this means man, train, equip and deploy the battalions subordinate to 2nd Marine Regiment.

Our secondary task is to prepare the regimental headquarters for potential future deployment where we must be able to conduct command, control, and other combat and counter-insurgency related functions in a full spectrum environment against an asymmetric adversary.
