In 1992, he assumed the duties as the Regimental S-3 until 1997 when he became the Commander of Third Squadron, 278th ACR (Phantom Raider Squadron).  Simultaneously, Maj. Gen. Haston served as the Training Officer for the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Following the completion of the resident course, U.S. Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, PA, Maj. Gen. Haston became the 7th Commander of Tennessee's largest unit, the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, headquartered in Knoxville, TN.

After leaving command, Maj. Gen. Haston was assigned as the Deputy Chief of Staff, for Operations and J-3, Joint Force Headquarters, Tennessee.  In May 2005, Maj. Gen. Haston mobilized and deployed as the Chief of Reserve Components, Multi-National Corps Iraq (XVIII Airborne Corps).  Upon completion of his tour in the Middle East, he returned as the J-3, JFHQ TN.

Before his assignment as the Deputy Adjutant General, he served as the Assistant Adjutant General-Army (Traditional) and as the Commander of the 194th Engineer Brigade, Tennessee Army National Guard. The 194th Engineer Brigade is one of the Army’s most diverse multi-functional engineer brigades consisting of an engineer battalion, an engineer detachment, and two Military Police Battalions.

Major General Holmes enlisted as an Armor Crewman in 1979 and was commissioned Field Artillery from Tennessee Military Academy Officer Candidate School in 1984. Holmes commanded the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment during its deployment to Iraq in 2010, and as the Commander of 3rd Squadron, 278th ACR in Operation Iraqi Freedom III in 2004-2005. He graduated in 1985 from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Architecture, and is a 2008 graduate of the United States Army War College with a Master of Strategic Studies.

Brig. Gen. Hart attended Walters State Community College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Tennessee in 1990. He received his Master of Science degree in 1999 from the University of Tennessee. He was commissioned Field Artillery from Tennessee Military Academy (OCS) in 1983. His military education includes the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course Fort Sill, OK in 1985, the Armor Advanced Course Fort Knox, KY 1994, Command and General Staff College Fort Leavenworth, KS 2002 and the U. S. Army War College in 2012 .

Brig Gen Kennett received his commission in January 1987 as a graduate of the Officer Training School at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and received his pilot training from Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, in December 1987. He is a command pilot with over 5,000 flying hours in: T-38, KC-135A, KC-135R, KC-135RT, C-17, C-5, C-141, MD-11 & Boeing 727 Aircraft. Brig Gen Kennett served in an activated status for 12 months during Operation Enduring Freedom and was the ANG Advisor to the Commander, Air Mobility Command. In addition, he is an MD-11 Captain for FedEx.

Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Dockery was the Deputy Director/Acting-Director, Plans and Programs (NGB A8A9) at the National Guard Bureau. He was responsible for the strategic planning and programming processes affecting more than 108,000 Guard members, 88 flying wings and 175 geographically separated units throughout the 50 States and territories. While assigned to NGB A8A9, he also served as Chief, Strategy and Force Planning Division. He also served as Deputy Director, Civil Support, Office of Assistant Secretary Defense/Homeland Defense at the Pentagon, Washington, DC. Responsible for identification of critical goals and concepts in the analytic agenda, policy, and strategic guidance, was a core member of President-directed National Homeland Security Plan and was a key contributor to the presidentially directed Integrated Planning System. Prior to OSD, Colonel Dockery was assigned to US Northern Command as a Strategic Concepts and Interagency Affairs Officer/ Legislative Liaison Officer, he represented the Commander and Staffs of USNORTHCOM and NORAD in the National Capital Region. He provided liaison to the Interagency, Congress, OSD, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau (NGB), Army Corp of Engineers, and Joint Forces Command for Transformation. His staff experience also includes Chief, Air/Land/Maritime Branch (J35), Chief, Operations Exercise Branch (J37) and Chief, Deployments Branch (A3); these duties included program manager for a multi-million dollar foreign military sales contract with NATO for air refueling and program manager for ANG personnel on Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Teams.

Command Sergeant Major Terry J. Scott is the Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) for the Tennessee National Guard. In this position, he is responsible for advising the Adjutant General on all enlisted matters affecting training and utilization, health of the force, and professional development of the more than 14,000 Tennessee National Guard Soldiers and Airmen.

CSM Scott joined the United States Navy in 1977 attending IET, Basic Electricity and Electronics School (San Diego, CA), Electricians Mate “A” School (Great Lakes, IL), Nuclear Power School (Orlando, FL), and Nuclear Power Training Unit (Ballston Spa, NY). Upon completion of service schools, CSM Scott was assigned to the USS Los Angeles (SSN 688) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where he qualified in submarines (SS) and made 2 Western Pacific/Indian Ocean deployments. CSM Scott was reassigned to the new construction submarine, The USS City of Corpus Christi (SSN 705), with a follow-on tour as an instructor at the S8G Trident Nuclear Submarine Prototype in Ballston Spa, NY.

CSM Scott enlisted as a Cavalry Scout with K/3/278th ACR and began his National Guard career in February of 1987. CSM Scott held various positions in the 278th ACR prior to being selected as an Armor Instructor at the 117th RTI in Smyrna TN. CSM Scott returned to the 278th ACR in 2003 to deploy with 1/278th in support of OIF III and assisted in the transition of 1/278th ACR to the 117th MP BN. Prior to being selected as the Senior Enlisted Leader, CSM Scott was the Command Sergeant Major for the 117th MP BN, 30th Troop Command, and 230th Sustainment Brigade. CSM Scott assumed the duties of the Senior Enlisted Leader on January 1, 2014.

CSM Scott received a Master of Arts Degree in Instructional Leadership in 2000, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education in 1992, both from Tennessee Technological University.
