Once an order has been submitted, contact the VCCC and submit a separate decommission request.
How do I correct an error once the order has been submitted?
- Incorrect CPU - You may either submit a custom work request or submit a VCCC ticket to decommission the server after it has been provisioned and submit a new order with the desired changes.
- Incorrect storage (type or amount) - You may either submit a work request after the server has been provisioned or submit a VCCC ticket to decommission the server after it has been provisioned and submit a new order with the desired changes.
- Other data (example: POC or server type) - To change the POC or server type, the AITR must submit a service request to the VCCC. It will be then assigned to the CMDB team to update the CMDB record
How do I decommission a server?
This tool is not used to decommission servers. Even though the tool asks if the server is a replacement for another server, the active service must still be decommissioned via a separate request. Servers are decommissioned by submitting a VCCC ticket or a custom work request depending on the work required to decommission the server.
