Welcome to Paguate Lake. Paguate Lake is
located about 60 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The entire lake
is on the Pueblo of Laguna reservation and in the Village of
Paguate.
Paguate Lake was created to provide a consistent water source for
irrigation farming within the Village of Paguate. In addition,
the lake has been stocked with catchable size trout for fishing by
Laguna Pueblo members and the general public. The lake is deep
enough for trout to survive the winter, so there can be some large fish
which have been in the lake for a while.
