Memorial Day in the Pacific area of responsibility has special significance to everyone stationed in Japan. We have the privilege to serve near the hallowed grounds and waters where so many Americans fought and died during World War II to preserve our freedoms and way of life. We encourage all Americans to pause and reflect this weekend on the generations of patriots who gave their lives for their country. CAMP ZAMA, Japan — U.S. Army Garrison Japan’s Religious Support Office hosted its National Prayer Breakfast May 5 at Camp Zama Community Club. CAMP ZAMA, Japan — Soldiers from U.S. Army Medical Activity-Japan conducted joint, tactical combat casualty care training with Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members April 28 at Camp Zama’s Dewey Park. The training was conducted in medical lanes, which covered three phases of casualty care training and incorporated the medical interventions and equipment used by Soldiers.
