Iowa farmers will install conservation practices on 458,000 acres with USDA-NRCS assistance.
For the first time, Iowa’s private landowners have the opportunity to implement selected resource conserving practices on their land using a higher than normal payment rate through USDA’s Environment Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
NRCS is accepting and processing applications for enrollment in the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). Applications are available in local USDA Service Centers. NRCS will process applications received by Feb. 3 for the 2017-1 signup period.
