NRCS Expands Conservation Efforts for Wildlife on Agricultural Lands

New projects added to Working Lands for Wildlife (WLFW) to help producers restore and protect habitat for declining species, including the northern bobwhite quail in South Carolina.

Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP)

USDA-NRCS will make available up to $4 million in financial assistance to help eligible applicants protect and restore key farmlands, grasslands and wetlands through the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP). Application deadline is Jan. 13, 2017.

 

Conservation Stewardship Program in South Carolina

South Carolina NRCS is accepting applications for the Conservation Stewardship Program from Nov. 4 - Feb 3, 2017.  The updated CSP will help producers better evaluate their conservation options and the benefits to their operations.
