The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is adding dozens of new target species, including Conasauga River Aquatic Species, to its premier wildlife conservation effort that helps agricultural producers make wildlife-friendly improvements on working lands.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will accept applications for enrollment in the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) - the nation’s largest conservation program - from November 14, 2016 until February 3, 2017.
Representatives from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the West Tennessee River Basin Authority (WTRBA) recently put pen to paper by signing two partnership agreements aimed to address priority natural resource concerns on private lands in Tennessee.
Tennessee NRCS will invest $12.2 million to enroll an additional 5,000 acres in conservation easements and another $3 million to enroll between 350-500 acres of WRE floodplain easements--making its total investment more than $15 million.
