All of the exemptions
under sec. 77.25, Wis. Stats. require the submission of
a transfer return, except exemptions 1 and 10m.
2015 WI Act 145 - 77.25(1) A conveyance dated prior to
October 1, 1969 is exempt from the transfer return and
fee. **Note: it is not necessary for any language to be
added to the deed.
2015 WI Act 216 -77.25 (10m) A TOD Deed/Designation
should include the following language – “Exempt from
transfer return and transfer fee per sec. 77.25(10m),
Wis. Stats.”
