The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. The New Jersey Field Office serves the State of New Jersey by protecting endangered species, supporting Federal planning, abating contamination, and partnering with landowners to restore wildlife habitats.

The New Jersey Field Office of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announces the release of a Final Restoration Plan/Environmental Assessment (RP/EA) addressing in-river injury to natural resources resulting from hazardous substance releases at the American Cyanamid Co. Superfund Site in Bridgewater Township, New Jersey. The RP/EA, developed in coordination with co-trustees (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the State of New Jersey, identifies the removal of the Weston Mill Dam on the Millstone River, and a feasibility analysis and design of fish passage at the Island Farm Weir on the Raritan River, as the selected restoration alternatives. The Trustees made a draft of this RP/EA available for public review and comment on May 10, 2016.
