Today in 1902: Businessman Ray A. Kroc is born. Under Kroc's direction, McDonald's grew to become the giant we know today.
By 2013, McDonald's signs could be found in all 50 states as well as about 120 countries. This sign was made in the U.S. for use in Japan. While the writing is in Japanese, the sign remains instantly recognizable due to its color scheme and signature golden arches.
The restaurant's look is standardized, but so is the menu, making only a few concessions to local tastes. (There's a Teriyaki McBurger in Japan, for example.)

- Free enterprise at its finest .but can you give your workers a raise that is if it does not hurt your business?22w
- Sti Me+1so....they can make $15.00 flipping burgers? I say one dollar above minimum wage!!! They want more money get a better job and an education!! ok go....22w
- +Sti Me I understand your opinion but how much do the CEO s make? And the owners if it is in the Billions why not share a little super rich stepping all over middle class!22w
- Sti Me+2+Mark Connelly Sr "your workers" implies noncorporate employees. If you give $5.00 above minimum wage then the entire working population will deserve a $5.00 raise. This in turn will cause a raise in prices to compensate for the increased wages. Now, dunno about you, but I don't want to pay more for things I want. Have a good day
+Thomas Seaton22w - +Sti Me Maybe if they paid more your taxes will not be as much because people would come off of welfare rolls and will buy more products! just saying..........22w
- Sti Me+1+Mark Connelly Sr if products are more expensive then so will the taxes....How will taxes go down when products are more expensive? Please explain... I'll respond after I wake up....22w
- +Sti Me What I am saying if the owners and the organization are super rich pay labors more and do not raise prices take the hit. now I understand that a small business owner who is struggling will not be able to do this we need a way to separate the two....you probably know more about this than I do but I am just throwing possible solutions to the economic mess we are in !!!!!!!22w
- Sti Me+1Public corporations pay their shareholders through dividends, along with board members salaries. If you raise minimum wage then the products prices will increase due to the higher overhead. The economic mess the country is in, well blame the politicians and other corrupt entities. Raise taxes to eliminate the economic deficit. Then eliminate #nobamacare!22w
