Home to Historic Fort Apache, the White Mountain Apache Reservation offers something for everyone! The Apache Office of Tourism, is located in General Crook's cabin (built in 1870), Apache Scout items, Cavalry Uniforms and Bugle Calls are some of the many surprises you'll find here. The Apache Cultural Center, located on the 288 acre site at Fort Apache, provides insight into the Culture of the Apache people. For the more adventurous, we offer Outdoor Recreation including rafting the Salt River Canyon, camping and hiking in the pristine beauty of the White Mountains. The Lakes and streams are home to Apache Trout, a species not found anywhere else. World record Elk Hunting offers an experience of a lifetime with guides sharing their knowledge of the country. |
