Bailey Beech, Food Safety Intern
Bailey Beech is double majoring in Animal Science and Dairy Science at The University of Georgia. At 21, Bailey is from Conyers and is the Second Vice President of UGA's Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority and an active member of UGA's Block and Bridle and Great Southland Stampede Rodeo.

Eva Blount, Tifton Seed Lab Intern
Eva Blount is originally from Quincy, Florida and is 23 years old. She is majoring in Diversified Agriculture with a concentration in Crop and Soil Science and is in her senior year at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton, Georgia. This past year she was the Agronomy Club President and plans to pursue a career in the seed industry after graduation.

Sydney Brogden, Food Safety Intern
Sydney Brogden graduated from Mercer University in May 2016. She majored in Environmental Studies and Policy with minors in International Affairs and Political Science. Sydney is from Peachtree City, GA.

Thomas Burke, Food Safety Intern
Thomas Burke, born and raised in Kansas, is completing his Master in Public Health at Emory University with an emphasis in Epidemiology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Kansas State University in 2013 and worked previously at Kansas State's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. He started interning with the Division of Food Safety in May of 2015.

Christina Farron, Fuel lab intern in Tifton, GA
Christina Farron, 23, is attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College pursuing a Bachelor Degree in diversified agriculture. She holds an Associate Degree in animal science. Christina is from Jasper, Georgia and is involved in several organizations at college such as Baptist Collegiate Ministries, cattlemen's and horseman's associations. Christina's passion is animals, especially horses, and she hopes to find her dream job working within the equine industry after receiving her degree.

Euridie Presil, Emergency Management Intern
Euridie Presil was born in Haiti, but has been residing in Atlanta for the past 12 years. At 18, Euridie graduated high school from DeKalb Early College Academy with not only her high school diploma, but simultaneously acquired an associate's degree from Georgia Perimeter College. Currently attending the University of Georgia, she is working towards earning her bachelor's degree in Finance with a minor in Public Administration and Policy. She serves as the community service chairperson for National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) of the UGA chapter, and a mentor to underclassmen. After graduation, Euridie plans on pursuing a career in the field of Finance.

Catherine Pierson, Marketing/Communications Intern
Catherine Pierson is interning with the Communications Division within the Department of Agriculture. She is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. During college, she was a writer for the UGA magazine and involved with intramural sports in her spare time. Catherine is from Culloden, Georgia.

Tyren Jackson, Fuel and Measures Intern
Tyren Jackson is an 18 year old sophomore at Georgia State University, majoring in Physical/Analytical Chemistry. He is originally from Fontana, California, and hopes to one day become a forensic chemist for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Amanda Stitt, Marketing/Communications Intern
Amanda Stitt is a senior Diversified Agriculture major at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She serves her peers as President of Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, Vice President of the ABAC Ag Business Club, and Vice President of the ABAC Horsemen's Association. After graduation, Amanda hopes start her own farm while pursuing a communications-related career that allows her to advocate for agriculture and serve as a liaison between the farmers and consumers.

Kelly Thompson, Animal Industry Division Intern
Kelly Thompson is earning her Masters of Agribusiness at the University of Georgia. Kelly, 22, is from Habersham County and loves the animal industry division. She has competed in horse, cattle, goats, sheep and swine shows. Kelly loves to travel and learn about agriculture in different parts of the world. She has been to Uruguay and Honduras so far and has plans to visit Costa Rica over Thanksgiving.

Bryce Trotter, Commissioner's Office Intern
Bryce Trotter is a senior Political Science Major at Davidson College where he is a member of the College Republicans and the Pre-Law Society. Bryce, from Thomasville, is 21 years old and spent his summers working on his father’s dairy farm in Dixie, GA. He plans to attend law school after graduation.

Meredith Walker, Animal Industry Intern
Meredith Walker has her Associate's in Animal Science from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and is working on completing her Bachelor's in Diversified Agriculture with a Livestock Concentration. She participates in the ABAC's Cattlemen's Association and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. Her hobbies include anything outdoors. She has always loved animals, and has a strong passion for the horse and cattle industry. Meredith is consistently looking for new opportunities to learn about agriculture.
