The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) is a New York State government agency, consisting of 54 staff and an eleven-member board. In 1971 the APA was created by the State Legislature to develop long-range public and private land use plans for the largest park in the continental United States.

State Land Classification
2016 - 2017 Amendments to the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan involving the Classification and Reclassification of 54,418 acres of State Lands in the Adirondack Park which include the Boreas Ponds Tract, 32 Additional Classification Proposals, 13 Reclassification Proposals, and 56 Classifications involving map corrections.

Rule Review
APA is accepting comments on rules promulgated in 2002 as required by section 207 of the State Administrative Procedure Act (SAPA). SAPA requires the review of and opportunity for public comment on state agency rules every five years following their promulgation. To view a list of rules that were adopted by APA in calendar year 2002, click here. Public comment on the continuation or modification of these rules is invited and will be accepted until February 20, 2017.
