SALT LAKE CITY (Nov. 7, 2016) - The Utah Elections Office is reminding voters to submit ballots to local polling locations, their county clerk?s office, or a designated drop box in their county by no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (Nov. 8, 2016).

SALT LAKE CITY (Oct. 6, 2016) - The Utah Elections Office will send 950,000 election postcards to Utah households this week inviting voters to visit vote.utah.gov to view the 2016 Voter Information Pamphlet. The pamphlet includes information about candidates, proposed constitutional amendments, judicial retention information and how to vote in the upcoming election.

SALT LAKE CITY (August 3, 2016) - At the request of Melvin Brown, the Utah Elections Office conducted an official recount of ballots for the primary election in Utah House District 53. After a careful review of ballots, candidate Logan Wilde received a total of 2492 votes and candidate Melvin Brown received a total of 2483 votes. The recount resulted in a total of one additional vote for Melvin Brown and two additional votes for Logan Wilde.

SALT LAKE CITY (July 15, 2016) - Allegations of misconduct were recently raised related to the county commission primary race in Wayne County. If proven to be accurate these allegations may have impacted the final outcome of the election.

SALT LAKE CITY (June 21, 2016) - Utahns have until midnight to register to vote in the upcoming primary election. More than 10 percent of registered voters have already cast ballots with approximately 130,000 ballots submitted to county clerks.

SALT LAKE CITY Sept. 22, 2015 - The Utah Office of the Attorney General today announced that the State of Utah, the Utah Republican Party and the Constitution Party of Utah have jointly selected former Lt. Governor Greg Bell as the neutral party to facilitate discussions in the Utah Republican Party v. Governor Herbert lawsuit.

SALT LAKE CITY - In a discussion today with Lt. Gov. Spencer J. Cox, Utah County officials have agreed to allow all county voters to cast only one ballot in the upcoming November election. Previously, election officials considered requiring voters in the five all vote-by-mail cities to also hold a separate in-person election for the county-wide ballot proposition.

Salt Lake City - Today Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell announced the launch of the "Find My Caucus Location" tool on vote.utah.gov. The caucus location tool displays the date, time, and location of each participating political party's neighborhood caucus meeting by voting precinct.

Salt Lake City - Today Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell announced the launch of the Utah Political District Maps website. The website will display interactive maps of the State House, State Senate, State Board of Education and Congressional Districts recently passed by the Utah State Legislature.  The districts represented by these maps take effect on January 1, 2012 for nominating and electoral purposes and on January 1, 2013 for all other purposes.

Salt Lake City - Following seven months of research and study, the 35 member Utah Agriculture Sustainability Task Force, led by Lt. Governor Greg Bell and Commissioner Leonard Blackham, is offering 29 recommendations that are expected to protect and enhance Utah agriculture. The recommendations generally call for the creation of new laws and policies at the federal, state and local levels that remove obstacles for safe and modern farming and ranching.
