IPP 732.0 Substance Abuse Policy and Procedure

This course is required one time of all new hires and LANL employees who have not completed #7863. This course presents information on the LANL substance abuse policy, procedures, and resources available to help employees identify substance abuse problems and to encourage employees with problems to seek assistance through the Employee Assistance Program. At the conclusion of this course you will know:
  • requirements for pre-employment and random drug testing
  • consequences of illegal use, possession, or distribution of controlled substances at work
  • consequences for positive test results
  • consequences for refusal to be tested or not reporting for testing
  • manager responsibilities when an employee tests positive for drugs
  • availability and confidentiality of rehabilitation assistance for drug or alcohol abuse or addiction
As a Laboratory worker, it is your responsibility to complete this course in its entirety.
