GHRC prepares to support ISS LIS

GHRC’s data processing and management team for the Lightning Imaging Sensor to be deployed to the International Space Station (ISS LIS) participated in the ISS LIS Mission Operations Internal Review on 12/20.

GHRC DAAC staff presentations at AGU

Several members of the GHRC staff attended the 2016 Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) held in San Francisco, 12-16 December. The GHRC staff presented posters as well as oral talks, including Amanda Weigel's Flash Talk on the Hyperwall at the NASA Booth.

GHRC releases 2016 Annual Report

2016 has been a busy year at the GHRC DAAC. We have brought in several key datasets, have worked to enhance user experience through developing innovative tools and services to address data usability needs, have increased science outreach, and continue to improve data stewardship. GHRC hosts 3rd Annual User Working Group meeting

GHRC hosted our 3rd annual User Working Group meeting on September 20-21. The primary focus of this meeting was to introduce the UWG to the GHRC’s new science team and to preview the new software architecture and user tools.

GHRC DAAC publishes micro article for the Lightning Imaging Sensor

GHRC DAAC has published a new micro article on the Lightning Imaging Sensor. This article briefly describes the LIS instrument and its two platforms (TRMM and ISS), and provides links to key LIS datasets and scientific publications. This represents the third of four major types of micro articles.

GHRC DAAC staff contribute to 2016 ESIP Summer Meeting

Several staff from the Global Hydrology Resource Center Distributed Active Archive Center (GHRC DAAC) attended the Federation of Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) Summer Meeting held July 19-22 in Durham, North Carolina. All benefited from informative sessions and productive face-to-face meetings with colleagues.
