Emergency Exercise August 2014
On August 5, 2014, LBNL conducted a Full-Scale Exercise (FSE) that included the on-site response elements. The exercise simulated a small release of radiological materials with a minor injury; it was later revealed that the exposure was intentional and malicious. The exercise was categorized as an Operational Emergency, Not Further Classified, and facilitated the activation of the EMT, ICT (Alameda County Fire and UCPD), and the FBI and Radiological Assistance Program (RAP) team.
