Protective Services Emergency Management Program

Protective Services is charged with developing and administering the Emergency Management Program, which provides the Laboratory with planning and coordination functions necessary for responding to, mitigating, and recovering from emergencies, while protecting the health and safety of workers and the public and preventing damage to the environment. Emergency Management analyzes hazards and threats to identify the necessary resources for effective emergency response, and implements appropriate procedures, including training and drills. Annual exercises and evaluations are conducted to verify readiness and ensure adequate response exists for the Laboratory.
