Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ
937 PM MST Tue Jan 31 2017

.SYNOPSIS...Expect mostly clear skies and mild daytime
temperatures through Wednesday. Cloud cover will increase starting
Thursday but temperatures will remain slightly above normal
through the weekend.

&&

.DISCUSSION...Expect another quiet night under mostly clear skies
and light winds. The current forecast is on track and no updates
are anticipated at this time.

&&

.PREV DISCUSSION /226 PM MST/...The current fair weather pattern
will continue over the next few days. If you have a chance, get
out there and enjoy it.

High pressure will continue to move across Arizona tonight and on
Wednesday. Well above normal daytime temperatures will continue
under a scattering of high thin clouds.

For Thursday and over the weekend...The high pressure system will
weaken and move eastward. The main impact of this change will be
to allow weak and fast moving weather disturbances to brush
Arizona. There will be some increase in cloudiness from Thursday
into Friday leading to a slight chance of showers across the
northwest corner of the state Friday night into early Saturday.
Another weak disturbance will brush the area on Sunday with some
increase in clouds and locally breezy winds developing.
Temperatures look to remain slightly above normal.

From Monday onward...A stronger short wave trough will move across
Arizona. At this time it looks like a chance of snow showers in
the mountains and rain showers at the lower elevation. Breezy and
colder. A bit far out for high confidence but something to keep an
eye on.

&&

.AVIATION...For the 06Z package...VFR conditions under scattered
high level clouds will prevail for the next 24 hours. Aviation
discussion not updated for TAF amendments.

&&

.FGZ WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...NONE.
